Connectix Corporation announced three new applications for the Windows 95 and Macintosh platforms. Connectix PhotoMate, Connectix PhotoBadge and Connectix QuickCards Version 2.0 are affordable, fun and easy-to-use digital imaging applications which complement Connectix QuickCam, the best-selling digital video camera, creating solutions for the average consumer and digital imaging enthusiasts alike.
These new software applications enhance QuickCam's photo and video capabilities and unleash the user's creativity. Connectix PhotoMate users can enhance, organize and present digital images for use in newsletters, presentations and Web pages. Connectix PhotoBadge users can create sophisticated, on-demand event, security and ID badges, and Connectix QuickCards users can produce self-contained electronic multimedia greetings.
"These applications follow in the Connectix tradition of transforming leading-edge technology into robust products that enable customers to communicate visually," states LisaJean Borden, Group Product Manager for Connectix Corporation. "Customers can let their imaginations run wild by creating unique, personal digital images."
Connectix PhotoMate allows users to edit, enhance, organize and present photos. It offers the most popular features of expensive, high-end image editing applications without the complexity and at a fraction of the cost. Photo quality can be improved by using "goof-proof" editing features such as adjustment of color balance and contrast. Users can easily categorize and find pictures using Connectix PhotoMate's "Album" of miniature captured images. Customized slide shows can be created with text, sounds and transitions with the click of a mouse. Connectix PhotoMate supports standard graphic formats and allows users to share images between a PC and a Mac.
Connectix PhotoBadge allows users to easily create photo ID badges for a variety of uses and occasions. Users can create their own badge designs or work with the wide variety of badge templates that are included. With its data export feature, Connectix PhotoBadge can import or export information to or from most popular databases. Connectix PhotoBadge works with Connectix QuickCam or compatible digital camera and virtually any printer. Connectix PhotoBadge includes built-in support for most standard label and badge sizes (such as Avery).
