PaceWorks Announces Public Availability of Dancer Beta

PaceWorks, Inc., today announced two beta versions of Dancer will be publicly available on October 14, via the Web. Demonstrated during Seybold Expo at Apples Masters of Media Solutions Booth (#1201), Dancer is a powerful new animation tool that significantly speeds and simplifies creation of lively multimedia projects.

Dancer gives creative designers a logical framework for executing powerful, time-based operations to manipulate and synchronize advanced typography, graphics, video and music. With its intuitive interface and minimal learning curve, Dancer lets even novices create captivating multimedia projects for CD titles or Web animation in just minutes.

Dancer makes it simple to input and integrate multimedia elements from the most popular applications, including Adobe PhotoShop, Director, CorelDraw or LightningDraw with one-step operations, and provides powerful tools for choreographing objects into vivid animations. With Dancer, users can generate GIF89 animations, QuickTime and QuickTime sprite movies, and Java applets.

Dancer finally unleashes the awesome power of TrueType GX to multimedia designers. This is the best animation tool out there if you want cutting-edge typography, said David Berlow, president of the FontBureau and a Dancer beta tester.

Two beta versions of Dancer will be available on October 14 for download via the Web at www.paceworks.com. One version, with limited capabilities, will be free. A full-featured beta version will be available for $49, and will entitle purchasers to a $70 discount on purchase of Dancer 1.0, for a limited time. Dancer 1.0 is expected to ship in January 1997 at an aggressive introductory price, with a regular list price of $445.

Dancer last month earned a Hot Pick of the Show award at MACWORLD Expo, Boston.

The beta will be available here soon.
