Open Door Networks Ships the LogDoor Multi-Site Log

Open Door Networks Inc. Wednesday announced that it had begun shipping its LogDoor multi-site log processor.

Introduced last month at Mactivity Expo, LogDoor provides Macintosh Webmasters with real-time, multi-site log management capabilities, greatly enhancing and simplifying the way Mac Webmasters analyze, manage and distribute statistical data about sites on their server.

"LogDoor provides tremendous functionality and insight for Mac OS Webmasters," said Andy Lauta, AppleNet Product Line Manager for Apple Computer, Inc. "LogDoor's multi-site capabilities greatly simplify site-by-site log distribution and analysis, and its real-time capabilities provide Mac OS Webmasters with essential insights into Web server traffic and operations."

LogDoor works either alone or in combination with Open Door's HomeDoor default home page server. When used with HomeDoor, LogDoor's individualized log files and statistics combine with HomeDoor's virtual domain names to create complete virtual Web sites.

All of the details of LogDoor, including evaluation copies of the software, are available off the LogDoor Web page . LogDoor is also being sold directly off the site, at a special introductory price of $179 through Nov. 1 ($249 thereafter).

Open Door Networks also announced that the next version of its popular HomeDoor default home page server had begun shipping. HomeDoor version 1.2 includes a log file of its own and the ability to make changes to its configuration without restarting. HomeDoor 1.2 continues to sell for $399 ($319 educational). Upgrades from previous versions are free to all paid users. Details of the new version are available at the web site.
