Starnine/Quarterdeck has released an important, mandatory update to MacHTTP, updating MacHTTP 2.2 to version 2.2.2. The new version corrects a potential security problem with MacHTTP 2.2 and earlier versions that in rare circumstances could allow unauthorized access to files on your server.
Starnine strongly recommends that all MacHTTP users download this update and apply it to their MacHTTP 2.2 application. If you don't have MacHTTP 2.2 (or if you are running WebSTAR PS, the version of MacHTTP distributed with the "WebMaster Mac" book), you should download the complete 2.2 distribution >from StarNine and then update it with the patch application.
